New York City is attempting to use eminent domain to condemn the Willets Point area and hand this private property over to a private developer. The City claims that Willets Point is blighted when in fact, it has been the City that has neglected the area and allowed it to fall into disrepair.
"Behind The Curbline" features Willets Point business owners discussing the City's attempt to condemn their property and destroy their businesses.

This is a powerful video about a group of hard-working New Yorkers fighting to keep the businesses that their Grandfathers built. NYC is trying to steal away private property from a group of land/business owners to give it away to a private developer for a multi-billion dollar redevelopment plan.
The city wants to redevelop land without giving landowners the option of expanding the profitable business that has thrived despite the fact that they been operating without basic services. Willets Point does not have paved streets, sanitation services, street lights, sanitary or storm sewers. Owners have pleaded with the city for 30 years. The city intentionally created what they call "blight" in Willets Point so they can use eminent domain to take private land away. It's disgusting. Thousands of jobs will be lost -- hardworking Americans...please watch this video.-

Taking all from hard working people.
Shame ...they want to redevelop land without giving landowners the option of expanding the profitable business that has thrived despite the fact that they been operating without basic services.
Owners have pleaded with the city for so many years. The city intentionally created all these in Willets Point so they can use eminent domain to take private land away. It's disgusting.
Thousands of jobs will be lost -- hardworking Americans...please stop this, watch this video. We need to do something. Today for the hard working people in Willets Point, tomorrow perhaps for me. How was that…? United we stand?
Where is the American dream? Where is the land of opportunity??? America is only for the rich people that abuse of the hard working Americans?
We are in a big crisis, taking all these jobs are going to help us? Maybe they think that we don’t need to work here in the USA because we can send all the work to overseas and they do our job there for less?
