Ecospot: Runner Up: Lights Out

Nicely done, why do I feel like I know these guys?

Oh, yeah, "Cheeto and Vinn."

Hey, if someone had to work me over, I would want it to be Cheeto and Vinn.

Hit men with a conscience. I could see a few more spots worked up around these two characters.

I feel this isn't as strong an entry as "Cheeto and Vinn," but with the situation in the world such as it is today, most people will identify strongly with this POD and it should be on Current TV.

Not to pick on your POD, but I was surprised to see this as a semi-finalist, not because it's not worthy, but because "Cheeto and Vinn" was also selected. I realize they were submitted by different people, but they are obviously similar, using the same characters.

Also, considering there were already over the 20 planned semi-finalists, I think this spot could have been freed up to make room for a different type of spot, like my spot,"NO NUKES," or something else better than mine. I haven't watched all the PODs that didn't get selected as semi-finalists, and I don't want to suggest that mine is better than them, just that something with a unique and different perspective should have been selected.

Having said that, I also want to say "Lights Out" is awesome and could have a big impact when it makes it to air. I like that it makes me slightly uncomfortable at the end and just at that moment, it doesn't feel like comedy anymore. Overall, this is a very funny POD, with a positive message, thanks.
