  • Nicely done. It especially got going towards the end. For this kid of film, I would have liked to see even more conflicting images, because the kid at the doctor's office in the beginning doesn't quite have the effect that you intended for it. Great work though.

  • i think you did a really nice job creating a character-driven story out of this footage. the editing is clean and invisible.
  • This was bizarre but kept me watching. I liked the use of the old prelinger footage. A lot of neat things can be done with archived footage when unrelated footage is pieced together to make something completely different. I think this piece did that effectively. The hard part, obviously, is creating a character and, in just two and a half minutes, we see a character in his youth and in his adulthood. I also appreciated the irony created through the use of the Atarax ad/voiceover. Interesting pod.

  • Nicely done. I thought the use of the old footage was very unique. Considering this is something that can sometimes turn into a sticky situation, by either being boring or confusing, you made it work well. I thought it was also also interesting that you were able to develop a character through editing and make us develop feelings for him. Because by the end of the piece I wanted to know what was going to happen with him. The conflict you introduced was good, a man battling with depression and how he was going to resolve it. You even threw in some interesting info about the technical term "ataraxia". It would have been nice to see how this affects people today. Maybe if you chopped this piece down and used it as a great prelude to a modern-day piece, it might be interesting to see how that would unravel. However, you took us on a nice journey from beginning to end with some really good editing. Nice piece!

  • "It is clear that many human beings suffered in trouble minds and thanks to scientific progress of medicines that even college students learn inside the classroom.... i am one of those people who almost commit suicide because of family problems...... it is nicely done.... and before my doctor know it.... it is too late, i have an accident before that damaged my left brain due to traumatic experiences.... without my knowledge i already found the right medicine because of my disobedience to those medicines that they endorse to me.... choosy patients like me survived even inside mental hospital."-Jane Zeta K.
