  • This story is bitter sweet. If Hawaii wins they should deserve at a decent bowl game at the very least. I believe they deserve a shot at the title as do most teams that can manage to go undefeated. Unfortunately, as we all know, the BCS won't allow for......Good luck to both teams who will play a good game and get rewarded with the bitter smiting that can only spawn from an unatural computer system that determines championships.

  • The Sugar Bowl would be sweet!
For sure. We're all crossing our fingers up here. If not for BSU then at least for the credibility of the WAC. We're not doing ourselves any favors by not scheduling more games with Pac 10, Mountain West and Big 12 teams. Ironically enough, Hawai'i's last game is against the Washington Huskies, who dashed BSU's hopes of going undefeated for a second straight season and a shot at the national title... We love to speculate! Whatever happens, it should be a great college football game that makes a compelling case for a playoff system.

  • After a big win like this one, Hawaii needs to be the new #1, I mean how the jebus can they be ranked behind teams that lost 3 times like Texas and Florida... I mean LSU couldn't even beat an unranked Arkansas team... I think it's time the writers and coaches stopped dumping on the WAC and give Hawaii the number 1 ranking they deserve... as long as they beat Washington who for some odd reason wailed on Boise State already

  • Heartbreaker in Hawaii! Much love to the Rainbow Warriors, it's their year.

So, how much would a Kansas vs. Hawai'i title game change the landscape of college football?! But before that, Hawai'i has got to beat the Huskies and their phenomenal freshman QB. Washington is a lot better than their record indicates. Ty Willingham is a great coach and it'd be a real feather is his cap to play the spoiler.

About the only team with a softer schedule than BSU this season is Hawai'i (only two of their opponents this year have winning records). I guess this isn't entirely their fault since most of the teams in the WAC are just that. You can't do much more than win all your games, but if you really wanted your football program to be taken seriously, why schedule games with Charleston Southern, Northern Colorado and UNLV? It doesn't seem right to have a national champ without a marquee win or two under their belt. So I say bring on the playoffs and let the little guys prove they belong!

  • BSU announces it's non-conference games.
    Idaho State
    Oregon
    Southern Miss
    Bowling Green

That Oregon game is big and I suppose playing the Bengals of Pocatello is a good warm up game... at the very least it's keeping money in the state school system. However, I'm a little confused about Southern Miss and Bowling Green. Don't hear too much about Conference USA or MAC teams up here in little old Boise. I would have preferred some regional match ups with Mountain West teams like BYU and Air Force... BSU has been wanting to join the Mountain West for a while now and the best case they can present to the conference is to play good games with their top teams. Who know though, maybe Southern Miss is a great new rivalry waiting to happen? I've never been to the South before and a Bronco game in Hattiesburg could be an interesting experience!
