Unite against human trafficking

At least 4,000 women and girls are trafficked into the UK each year and forced into prostitution. The Journey is an art & action based campaign to highlight the issue of sex trafficking. It was founded by Sam Roddick, Emma Thompson and Helen Bamber.

Posted here is the anti-sex trafficking film called 'I am Elena', with Emma Thompson. The scenario was written and shot for Body Shop in less than 10 hours.

    • It is time that the awful realities of human trafficking are made known to the public. We need to act against this cruel crime of exploitation of vulnerable people. Wherever poverty exists, people are in danger of victimization. We need to end the poverty which is the route cause as well as apprehend the people who profit from human trafficking and most of all ensure adequate support for the victims of their brutality.

    • I really liked this video.
      Sex trafficking is one of the biggest illegal businesses int he world. Something needs to be done to stop it. Finally some people are paying the it the deserved attention

    • I thought this was a really powerful video, especially in the UK where Emma Thompson is a bit of a national treasure - so seeing her acting like this was really quite shocking to watch.
