FACT: "Canvas" is Dutch for the Greek word "Kannabis."

The time has come to legalize hemp.

Willie agrees, how about you?

  • just a thought. can we vote to change a city's name? how about we change New York back to New Amsterdam, because calling it Manhattan is just too much sarcasm, even for me

  • The book "The Emporor Wears No Clothes" was an eye opener for me, 17 years ago. I read it when my son was in high school. I was shocked at the facts that Americans have been denied. I read it during George Bush Sr.'s administration. I called that time period, "Silenced in America, by an American Czar". George Bush Sr. used a Czar in his Drug War. If you break down the word Czar from the dictionary, it breaks down to tyrant, despot. Corporate greed and manipulation of laws has enabled the silencing of America and stopped conversation about industrial hemp. Willie Nelson is a brave individual. Back in the 90's a guy named Galbrith (sp?) had a vehicle that ran on hemp. Willie Nelson rode across Kentucky in his hemp powered vehicle and shortly after the IRS confiscated Willie Nelson's personal belongings for back taxes. I thought then it was a 'shot across the bow' to anyone willing to talk about industrial hemp.

  • I can't help but wonder if enough people that have tried marijuana have grown up to make that legal if it were put a vote? I can remember the horror anti marijuana films shown when I was a kid. They will know better than I did. It marijuana were legal, their ban on industrial hemp wouldn't hold much water would it?
  • There can't be a vote because we are denied the discussion. If someone tries to talk about Industrial Hemp, the discussion goes to drugs. Farmers would not need to be subsidized, they would be growing a cash crop. Hemp has so many uses, grown in the USA, made in the USA. America needs to be a leader in Industrial Hemp, it would be good for the environment. It's never too late to talk about it. The only thing constant is change. If Americans would start talking about it, they could change it.
