Researchers have used brain scans to study the effects of sexual climax on our minds. Apparently, in women, many parts of the brain just turn off, including the area in charge of pain and another that controls emotion! Men, on the other hand, had almost no reaction.

Somehow I posted this to " A Girl's Guide To Dating Geeks", though it could fit there as well.... but pertaining to MRI's...There's a book called "Sex, Time, and Power: How Woman's Sexuality Shaped Human Evolution" by Leonard Shlain, where he looks at these elements and makes sense of all this. It's fascinating there also is a website http://www.sextimeandpower.com/ Wonderful stuff.... But wouldn't he be dangerous to have a vibrator close at hand, while inside an MRI?

the one thing i wonder is why that the brain would shut down. perhaps as a primitive leftover lizard mind defense mechanism? i'm guessing for millions of years it wasn't all hot foreplay, so you'd probably want that shut off...
