Apparently the Hulkster had no idea that his wife Linda had filed for divorce when a reporter phoned him for comment. Oops.

I suppose it's a tactical ploy by her attorneys. It's a given that the family will be sued because of the 17 yr old son's accident, that left his passenger in a coma.
If she sues for divorce first, she is entitled to 50% of his net worth before any further legal action. Thus it's"take the money and run..."
The "Hogan" empire will be split, she cashes out, and the attorneys for the accident victim can only go after the remaining 50% of the Hogan estate. If she is also named in the action, it's difficult to prove which parent would have been "more responsible".
Either way, she walks with a lessened liability... sad but true... it's all about the money. -

How are we a great nation again? justice=money@the poor of another.....thats pathetic!! As far as the family i hope things work out for the better.It's not like its some surprise she wants a divorce.She has been basicly asking him to bring there ralationship out of his crotch for quite some time now.Somebodys thick!!

What a crappy way to find out. They looked really happy together when I was watching the first season of their TV show.
Maybe that's what it was. Every couple that has a TV show (minus the Osbournes) have broken up.-

Conspiracy Theory...Anyone not think that it might be a safety clause for the family? If they already know that Nick is gonna get taken to the cleaners in court then a 'divorce' might make safe some of Hulk's savings.
