Richard Branson is looking to aquire Northern Rock after its share prices have continued to dwindle. The Bank has been in trouble since the American Mortgage crisis and is now expected to be taken over. If the deal is resisted by Northern Rock they are expected to go into administration.

Branson's Bank?...considering his range of businesses are called Virgin, it would seem Richard Branson is anything but when it comes to takeovers. His recent NTL takeover has proved successful as have his other various ventures; everything from credit cards to beauty products.
I'd much rather see the temporary solution in the link. Have a look and see if you agree in halting the Branson empire!
