Truly---this is indeed the single dopest thing I will personally EVER find on YouTube.
You have GOT to check for the long-haired kid straight rockin' out hardcore and gettin' his (her...?) swerve on up on the fire escape. And not only does Stevie give Cookie Monster a shout out but towards the end of the performance he rocks an impromptu rendition of the Sesame Street theme song.
Oh, yeah - check for a young Ray Parker Jr. - y'know - "I ain't afraid of no ghost", y'all - slappin' the bass just off to the side of Stevie.
This is truly representative of a bygone era---try seeing a band jam for an extended session of almost SEVEN MINUTES on a children's TV show these days. More's the pity...
Damn, the 70's were ill..... Beautifully so.
This. Is. Heat.
