The culture minister, Margaret Hodge, has said she will consider a redesign of the union flag to incorporate the Welsh dragon to represent the country's "true place in the region." Much easier said than done. I can't imagine the rebranding nightmare this would cause for the UK. But does Wales deserve a spot on the Union Jack? What are your thoughts?

no, no, no, no!Why does everyone want to change things? We live in a world of political correctness gone mental! Check the link for the story of the Union Jack and why Wales wasn't originally included..

fair enough..... wales is a principality.... but why shouldnt we be represented on the union jack in some way? (granted that sticking a dragon in the middle is a bit disstastefull.)
and as for 'deserving' a spot on the flag.... what have england, scotland & northen Ireland done to 'deserve' a spot? surely every country has the right to be on it?? no? -
why shouldn't they deserve a spot, shouldn't it be why DO they deserve a spot? when by own advertisment they offer mud??

not quite sure what you mean by offering 'mud'?
