The Hindu people of India don't eat cow meat because they consider the cow to be holy. Watch this pod to find out what interesting things they do with the cow's poop.

Not as holy, but more ecofriendly: Cow poop to build your house with?
-
That is very interesting.

It is also used for making the holy ash vibhuti. It is mixed with milk, ghee, honey, and burnt in a fire. Then, the ashes are burnt again, and again, seven times in total. The resulting ash is perhaps the purest and cleanest matter that exists - totally neutral matter in which apparently no organic or inorganic substance, no silicon or carbon or anything can be detected on analysis. It has medicinal properties and heals a great number of conditions.

The Maasai and Samburu tribes of East-Africa also use cow-dung to build their 'enkaji' (houses). Only the women build the houses, it is traditionally their job to do so.

This pod was so, so good.

Good pod on a subject not often touched upon (literally!). I must admit I'm biased, India has always been a place I love and it's always interesting.
If you wanted to improve on it I would recommend ending it a little differently, either on a point of humour which you highlight in the first half or perhaps an aspect of how this is such a valuable resource for many people. Either one of these would just make it feel a little more complete.
Good subject, what gave you the idea to make it into a pod?-

I asked my friend, Benedict, about some interesting cultural things that they do different in India than they do in America. He asked me if they burn cow poop in America. I said NO! So he said he can show me where they do such things. So we showed up and asked questions and that's the story.

Thanks for the great idea to cut my heating bill down!
