Some are witty. Some are scary. And all of them make us think just a bit. Political bumper stickers feed us snack-sized nuggets of truth while we're scurrying through traffic. See the stickers and meet some of the faces behind our mobile media as they lay down some sharp and intelligent analysis of the president, the war and the future.

  • Very cool. Yes, where do we buy these?

I should print some up myself. How about suggestions for slogans?

  • Awesome! Where do you buy these bumper stickers?
  • Really fantastic work!! This was very well made. It is very clever to use bumper stickers as a way of talking about political issues, plus you always want to talk to the people who have bumper stickers about why they put the ones on there that they did.

  • Just google Political or Democratic Bumper Stickers some of them are great and it helps us scream out our thoughts in traffic with our mouths shut.

  • Nice work. Did you meet anyone in making this piece who supports Bush? I'd like to hear something from "the other side".

  • A few quick responses:

    - First, thanks for the kinds words.

    - Favorite sticker(s): the one where the word "Iraq" is rolling over like the the odometer of a gas-fueled car to the word "Iran". Clever, scary and creative. On the other end of the spectrum "Republicans for Voldemort" always brings a smile.

    - As for places to get them, a quick google of "political bumper stickers" will keep you busy for hours finding the right one. bumpertalk.com has lots of good ones.

    - We talked to Republicans with stickers, but instead of making this a "fair and balanced," he said/she said schpeel, we wanted to produce something with a little bite. I was surprised at how passionate and articulate our interviewees all were so it just made sense to piece together their dialogue in a powerful way.

  • Excellent piece, man. It's funny , insightful and really well put together.
It would be fun to see a right wing version of the same film, but i doubt i could stomach it anyway.
Actually my dad, who is pretty open minded, but usually sides republican said to me the other day that he was "a man without a party". And then we agreed that Kucinich was the best candidate. Then my mom, who's intensely conservative said the republican candidates were all awful and she'd much rather see Obama in office than any of them.
    Best Thanksgiving ever.

  • I love this piece.... but I think it's a bit one sided in the type of bumper sticker collector it shows. You had mentioned wanting to create "a little bite" by showing one side. I would argue that interviewing some conservative drivers would be the best way to add bite.

  • Excellent! I'm with vigliotti though, a bit one-sided. Green light!
