Silva Mirzoian lives in Beverly Hills, CA, arguably one of the wealthy regions in the wealthiest nation in the world. And she is deeply concerned about the impact that all of us have on the environment, and is committed to learning about and sharing ways we can all lighten the load we are putting on the Earth. Where she lives is significant to her story because she has found that people in that area have a general perception that an environmentalist is basically a hippie. She is committed to the idea that living a Healthy, Wealthy and Eco-Friendly Lifestyle is not only possible, but it is imperative that we try.
Stereo-types and generalizations exist because they are often true. Silva believes that many people resist Living Green because they think theyll have to give up comfort, style, elegance or even hygiene. So she created a series of videos (pods) so as she learned about ways to off-set her carbon footprint, she could share the knowledge with whomever is interested.
Be it building a house from the earth adobe focuses on different ways to live green. style. Outfitting your house by purchasing and reusing materials from a architectural salvage yard. Or protecting for your identity, while caring for the environment by shredding and recycling your paper documents. We all can contribute by making small changes to living green.
In addition to the video series, her website www.greenforlife.net, is becoming a central place where anyone can go to find resources, links and more information about eco-friendly products from office supplies to pet foods. To sum up, she is about providing a spectrum of choices towards living a sustainable lifestyle without sacrificing elegance, style or comfort. Its about expanding economic growth while being kind to the environment and the creatures who live in it. Green for life, is a way of life.
