    Shows like that are culture cancer. No wonder so many people think all Americans are morons.
    Mainstream television gives shallow morons the spotlight 90% of the time, because it's more "entertaining" to watch than something that might actually be educational, or, at least, thought provoking.
    Does the line between disposable entertainment and culture even exist anymore?

    TV should die.

    Or rather, "popular" culture should die. If it were personified, I'd shoot it in the head right now, and grow old knowing I'd made the world a better place.

  • Appalling. We've been talking about how bad education is in this country since I was in high school over thirty years ago - and Kellie Pickler is what we get for all that angst?

    I was in a Kinko's here in Santa Fe last year and told a clerk I wanted half a dozen copies. Honest to god, she had no idea how many I wanted. She was about 18 or so. Not mentally handicapped, at least in the usual sense. Can a mental handicap be self-inflicted? Judging by this woman and Ms. Pickler, I guess so.
