  • He likes The Smiths?!?!

The next election is still two-and-a-half years away, and that's ages in politics, but reports are saying that for the first time in a decade, Tory hopes of an outright victory at the next election are "more than moonshine." This is no doubt a result of the series of Brown's blunders over the past few months. What do you think? Does Cameron stand a chance?

  • He's the first Tory leader who stands a chance of being elected into number 10 since Major. He's charismatic enough but in this pod, his answers seem a little too rehearsed. He sounded like my dad when he was talking about Radiohead and The Fast Show and came across like a man cynically trying to tap into what young voters want to hear.

On the one hand I think he's a very refreshing politician - be it for PR or not, he's doing a good job of getting green issues talked about and he makes Prime Minister's questions entertaining to watch.

But he's too much like Blair. True, he's affable, witty and charismatic but I don't trust him. He tries to present himself as very honest and approachable but then shirks simple questions like religion and gets grumpy about it. He's a bit too polished for my liking.

    Here's David Cameron 2.0 - the vlogs.

  • Excellent pod, well done. But religion has nothing at all to do with politics in this country and I sympathise with him not wanting to be pushed into answering religious questions.
