Power hitting is exactly what the Dodgers needed in this offseason and that is exactly what they got. Oh and a 100-time gold gloving center-fielder. So now the line-up reads something like this.
1. Furcal
2. Pierre
3. Russel Martin
4. Andruw Jones
5. Jeff Kent
6. Nomar
7. Loney
8. Eithier
9. Pitcher
Speed and power is stocked pretty deep on this line-up. Is this once again the best line-up in the West? I think the answer is yes.

Nomar is actually spelled Nomaaahhhhh
-
YAY ... I guess?

ok, can anyone answer this: is his name pronounced "On-Drew", as many sportscasters seem to think? And if so, how does the 'U' in the second syllable manage to influence the pronunciation of the first syllable?

On behalf of bitter Giants everywhere, we don't give a rats ass. Sigh, does this mean we have to make the mistake of trading Lincecum for Alex Rios just to try to keep up with the Dodgers? This sucks.

and the Giants counter with...... Marquis Grissom!!!!!!

I think Ricky Henderson is still somewhere in the Mexican leagues if the Giants are interested. haha.

I like how Frank McCourt and Ned Coletti are bringing the Dodgers back to the gloried times with moves reminicent of the Rupert Murdoch ownership and Kevin Malone front office moves

Well we knew that Torre wasn't going to just come to LA to retire. The man wants to win and it looks like part of his deal was the ability to bring over some coaches and scouts honor handshake that McCourt and Coletti would fork up some cash for some players. Of course they tried that last year with Jason Schmidt and look where that got us. Perhaps the Dod will just have to wait for all of their farm league players (arguably the best system in baseball) are ready to take the place of the elderly. That said, I think Andruw Jones will have a better season than last year and if he can hit a few over the wall with guys on base then it was worth it.
