This is an incredibly inspirational story. This woman, in spite of her birth defect, chooses not to be classified as a disabled person. She works full time in a restaurant - on her feet all day.

This is a great example of how 'disability' is a socially constructed phenomenon. Who decides what makes someone 'disabled'? Is it by definition as being different or 'flawed'? Or is it in someone's ability to perform certain tasks? I find so much inspiration in people like this woman who have adapted to their situations, determined not to let something like this pigeonhole them as 'disabled.'
