  • This is a phenomenal format for movie review - I will go see this movie now - are the folks with the webcams Current employees or just folks out in the Current-sphere?

  • I don't appreciate Current airing crap like this guy saying he would kick his pregnant 16 year old daughter down the stairs. WTF Current, I hold you to a higher standard than that! Am I wrong? What am I missing here?

" If I had a daughter and she told me she got pregnant and she was a junior in high school, I'd say 'Hey kid don't worry, we're going to get through this together.' Then I'd kick her down the stairs into a bunch of coat hangers and pray for the best!'

You want to know what the best is and how you can help dude? Turn yourself into the police!

Why is this on the air?

  • Had no interest in seeing this and fan of lowdown reviews- I saw it last night with my girlfriend. Amazing.

  • Michael Cera is funny in everything he is. Great review! And Jennife Garner is repulsive sometimes.

  • Agree, who would have thought a teenage girl pregnant would be the funniest movie of the year!

  • Just saw the review and I FULLY SECOND the comment made by "IAMmartini"

Mark Ellis' comment (see below) is so vile and abhorrent I was SHOCKED to see it aired by Current!
I seriously hope the editing staff overlooked this and that is the only reason his comment made it into the segment.

Mark, maybe you made this comment and later regretted it (I doubt it; your 'style' seems to be dis-affected, look at me I'm cool 'cause I admit I suck at life). If so, apologize like a normal human. If not, I also hope Current bans your 'contributions.'

    Love and light y'all, Xander

  • wow, this movie sounds awesome! why can't there be more movies like this one?! and why are these movies always the ones that get the least attention?

  • It was a decent movie, ruined by pretentiousness and unrealistic dialogue.

Nobody talks like the people in this movie. It was trying so hard to be indie-hip, it just wasn't for me.

  • i agree with MsGo... It was a bit on the pretentious side so the first half of the movie was a little unbearable, but towards the end, i actually started to like the character when you see how Juno changes her perspective on life.... I guess that's when you know it's a good "coming of age" story.

  • I was surprised to find myself laughing out loud...a lot. I get what you are saying about it being a tad pretentious, but the comedy was fresh and quirky and that's the hardest part. They were probably trying to balance out the fact that she was a bad role model for today's youth with an extensive vocabulary. "Hey, I know I am a pregnant teen, but I am well educated." Or maybe the point was, "Hey even educated kids get preggers."
  • i saw it for the second time the other day with my friends, and i found my self getting excited.

i love this movie a rediculous amount.

  • I totally love this movie! I am one of the people who LOVED the writing -- so clever and witty. Yes, ordinary people do not talk like that. That's why we don't make movies about ordinary people -- they are boring and nobody would watch them!

As for the reviewers, I have to say that as a foaming-at-the-mouth feminist and adult Gen X woman, I thought the comment about kicking her down the stairs into a bunch of coat-hangers was LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY. It's funny because it is obviously a huge exaggeration! And the guy saying it - he's so cute and innocent, you know he was making a sick joke. It's funny. Come on people, we love Current because Current is edgy, Current has a sense of humor that the mainstream media is too p.c. to touch. Way to go.

p.s. shameless plug: My rant. Watch it.

  • Great movie, I was surprised at how good it was as well.

  • I thought this was one of the weaker movie reviews. The guy in the knit beanie got too much air time and all he had to say was "Juno: best movie ever". I thought the movie was pretty good but doesn't deserve the mash notes that this review amounted to. Let's get some more opinions in the mix!
