Ireland has plans to be free from the energy hogging incandescent bulbs by 2009. It would be the first European nation to outlaw the bulbs.
"By getting rid of these bulbs we will save 700,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year. It has been estimated that consumers will save 185 million in electricity costs every year as a result of the measure.
That is amazing! Why doesn't the whole world outlaw these bulbs?

uww, wow irelands goin to change the world now, thats great and all but it would really make a major impact on peoples lives nor the earths(cus it has no feelings)
