Ever get that feeling like no matter how well you eat, or how hard you exercise, you just can't seem to shake that stubborn spare tire? It's likely because you're stressed. Stress, whether it's because you're over-worked or over-exercised, causes the body to create cortisol, a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands as a reaction to stress.
"Cortisol is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands as a reaction to stress. One of its main functions is to help the body produce blood sugar from proteins and pour it into your bloodstream, providing energy for the ?fight or flight? response. Any excess sugar is then used for fat production. "
So after a stressful day, relax. Put your feet up. Don't go to the gym and run your self into the ground. You'll feel better.

this may or may not be true, but no amount of relaxation is gonna negate the amount of weight that guy in the picture has on him...
(haha) -
How about you move your ass more and eat less?

It all plays a part. Lack of sleep means slower metabolic rate, burning less carbs, increases likelihood the individual reaches for a stimulant to juice himself up, craving more sweets and carbs, higher cortisol levels...

Hmm...what if I can't relax because of how fat I am? Quite a conundrum that would be, eh? Huzzah! I've beat the system!
