Dirty little secrets... If high ranking Democrats in general, and Nancy Pelosi in specific approved the CIA's waterboarding activities, no wonder that, in the words of Ms. Pelosi, "Impeachment Is Off the Table".

  • I am not convinced that there is a lot of difference between Democrats and Republicans anymore. Both parties are committing shameful acts. Excepting this next election, I intend to vote 3rd party from now on.

  • Why dont you compare this to real torture. Some one should up load the video of the guy getting his head cut off by terrorists. Then make your decision on which is better.

  • At least for the the guy being beheaded all the pain is over. Yes he is dead but I bet after a half hour of water-boarding you would be wishing you were dead too.

  • If I understand Pelosi's position, she learned of the waterboarding in her position on the House Intelligence Subcommittee.

    To my knowledge, what Representatives learn there is considered top-secret. They are not allowed to disclose it. I guess the question is was that piece of information top secret?

    Also, if she was told it was planned, then at a later date it was confirmed that it was now in use, I hardly think we can hold that against her.

    But, even if it was used and she learned of it, do we expect Nancy Pelosi to buck the Administration who dominated both the Congress and the Executive Branch?

    I'm sure Nancy Pelosi isn't a two faced self-serving politician out to milk the US for every penny it's worth.

    As we learn more about the extent of corruption in Washington, we must also realize that by far, the vast majority of the population placed into the same position with lobbyist with handfuls of money, most of you would have played the same game everyone else did, plane and simple.

    Or, you may have ended up like Senator Wellstone.

    This is the reason so many well intending newly elected officials go to Washington and end up like everybody else. Upon arriving, the newly elected quickly realize the machine is much much larger than themselves. - not to sound as though I'm making excuses for them.

    The question now is, will they yield to the American people's will?
