  • Here is an article from the Atlantic Free Press in regards to the scary real facts of how rapidly temperatures are rising across the world.

  • Yep one of the hottest years yet. Care to tell me why 500,000+ people in Oklahoma are out of power due to an ICE storm?

  • hariku821: just because it's cold in parts of the United States doesn't mean the entire earth is cold.

it should be noted that this only includes the first 11 months of 2007. Since December is usually one of the coldest months i would wait until it's added before I draw any conclusions.

  • Not to mention that one of the very alarming consequences of global warming is an overall increase in the severity of storm systems, whether they be in cold or warm fronts. More floods, more ice, more hurricanes, etc., and all stronger than we're used to.

  • All true, but the fact is this is the 2nd hottest year on a timeline of 120 years which is insignificant considering the climate has been changng for the past billion years.
What is going on? Are we doing it? I think NOT! How egotistical!!!!!

  • Check this out
http://www.divulgence.net/ It is pretty cool and outlines a fact that is affecting the climate and some examples!!!

Are you serious? Ignoring the fact that the website barely sources any of its information, it claims that the United States government is slowly killing off the world's population to ease the transition of when this planet is eventually destroyed by solar flares and a change in the earth's axis.
I guess it would make a pretty good science fiction story.

  • So for global warming charts we only talk about those months that are hot.. and then we claim that global warming causes ice storms..Yea that makes allot of sense.

  • Hay i am just throwing some alternative view points out there...all i knowis that it is not just us causesing climate change. whether the site is creditable or not the point is that the axis does vary and this can and will cause massive enviromental changes. To what degree it has been affected i am not sure but i will get back to this once i get home from work. I have a text book from one of my historical geology courses and it explains this pretty well.

  • So Nasa is not a creditable source? That is the main source for the climate graph this discussion is based on!!! The sources are NASA, USGS, NOAA, NWS, SOHO. To me these are pretty creditable...sorry it is not from Gore or Edwards approved sites!!

  • One thing is for sure, the earth will take care of itself. It is up to us knuckleheads to take care of humans, but the odds ain't looking good.

    Keep it reel!

  • Alright here it is the Milankovitch theory!!! It is alot of info but if you want to build a greater understanding for climate change read this... http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/milankovitch.html
I hope i have some how helped greater our understanding of what the earth is going thru!!

Care to understand the difference between Oklahoma and the globe and between December and a full year?
And did you really think that global warming means there won't be winters at all?

If not just what's you point with this question?

"So for global warming charts we only talk about those months that are hot.. and then we claim that global warming causes ice storms..Yea that makes allot of sense."

Ah man. Grow up. Noone said that.
And there are no such things as "global warming charts". You talk and think like a 5 years old, really.
