The Crypto Four Corners team brings you and interview from a Navajo Elder, Leonard Dan, on Skinwalkers and other Cryptids found on the Navajo Reservation.

I have read Carlos Castaneda bok about this and I find this extremely interesting. I think you may get and audience with a decent editor. How did you meet this guy? Did you partake in a ceremony?

I Live in Arizona on The NAvajo reservation
And I have mixed feeling about this.
Spending a decent amount of time while raised in utah, I realize how Little most people knew about the actual in's and out's of the mythology and culture involved in the magic and mystacism.
IT is real, It is scarry, The reason These Skinwalkers have gone awry is bacause During the relocation. They had the power to stay behind. and Fight for their land.
When the ones who left came back, and were beaten and battered and submissive. There was resentment and the people with the knowledge Stayed outside the controlled reservation areas.
if your family was stolen and only your brother came back and everyone else was dead. you'd be mad he didnt save your family.
You'd preserve what culture you had left. and hate life as all these modern distractions erase your past, your language, and your traditions.-

NEVERtheLESS,
I like what you are saying, and it does mirror some of the things that Leonard said. I have been with the Dine' Navajo for well over twenty years now. I know the culture, the traditions, and the practices.
What I have problem with, is that no society should accept homicide, necrophilia, canabalism, and child abuse as culture. All these things go hand in hand with the dark art of Skinwalker.

THESE THINGS HAPPEN IN ALL CULTURES. LIke it or not,
I was unaware of the necrophillia. And it only happens once. The sacraficing of a human spirit to gain the power. unless destroyed it stays with the family throughout generations.
My Grandfather is a Medicine Man, My Grandmother is a hand trembler, They are always doing good way protection and reversal prayers for people.
reminds me of the story of Kain in the bible.
Killing a family member. Damnation for eternity.and strange human attributes. not exactly but in essence.-

The story of Cain and Able is interesting indeed. After Cain killed his brother, God marked him out so that no man would kill him. If anyone did, he would be avenged sevenfold.
Mormon people in my area think that Bigfoot is Cain. I reply to this:
"There sure are a lot of Cains running around?''
Cain went on to build a city for his son Enoch, and Enoch walked faithfully with the Lord for 365 years.
Hard to think Enoch was marked out also by his father's sin of murder?
