HAHA. It's actually pretty sad u can man a couple of rosters...but also no surprise.
So where do we go from here? Do we really just look forward [as Mitchell suggested] or do we take a look back [as it seems Selig plans on doing]? Thoughts?
Personally...it's a serious dilemma. If u look at the names implicated...it's hard to do anything. Look at all the awards listed above. Maybe it really is just time to move on and see this past segment of time as a dark ages of sorts. -
with the help of baseball-reference.com (the reason the Internet was invented):
1. CF - Nook Logan (2 career HRs, 1 of which would have been caught at the track had he not juiced)
2. LF - Armando Rios (no, they don't make you taller)
3. RF - Marvin Bernard (as someone put it on SFGate, "you mean he could have actually been worse?")
4. SS - Glenallen Hill (an OF in the majors, but clearly versatile enough to be SS, hit like 7 HRs in one game once for the Indians)
5. 1B - Matt Franco (Julio's little-known grandson)
6. 3B - Howie Clark
7. 2B - Jerry Hairston Jr. (grandnephew of Cleveland Browns DL stalwart Carl "Big Daddy" Hairston)
8. C - Tim Laker
9. P - Bart Miadich + (perennial WTBS Superstation favorite Kent Mercker, whose name was spelled wrong on the list on MLB.com) -
Everyone run for your life. Baseball is ruined!

Fun tidbit about some of these guys who aren't recently active... Matt Franco, Alex Cabrera, and Adam Riggs have been hiding out playing baseball in Japan the past few years... Larry Bigbie already signed to flee the country to play there...
