Does anyone remember a little thing called a BETA Player? Maybe not because it was the technology that was replaced by a little something we called video cassettes. Just like CD's were produced instead of laserdisc. Now we have wondrus little things called DVD's but in this age of High Def we find that DVD's are lacking a little something... But here is the answer(s)! Blue-Ray in one corner! and in the other corner, HD DVD! Basically, they do the same, but Blue-Ray has greater capacity, and also greater cost. One will beat out the other, but which one will end up on top? After all, its just not economical to buy a Blue-Ray and an HD DVD player. It will pretty much come down to which the production studios sign with. Disney has already sided with Blue-Ray, but Universal has gone with HD DVD. Does anyone have a preference? Or a thought?

HD DVD all the way. Sure, Blu-Ray has the potential to store nearly twice as much as HD DVDs. But really, isn't 90 gigs enough? I think it's pretty impractical to buy Blu-Ray. More expensive media for greater storage capacity just doesn't sell it to me. I buy DVDs for one reason: to watch the movie. I use the extra DVD content less than 1% of the time. Regardless, I think that HD DVD will beat out Blu-Ray because it's less expensive and it still has a storage capacity that's higher than what we really need.
