A school resource officer in Jacksonville, FL used a taser to subdue and arrest a parent at Ed White High School. After a man's son was involved in a fight in the school cafeteria, Police say one father became very aggressive, saying he wanted to take his son home. Clark says the father was adamant that the school wasn't going to take his son to jail. The school resource officer tased the man in the school office.

A Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer had to apologized to a 68-year-old man for making a "serious error" by using a Taser on him while he was seated in his car as police ticketed him for a traffic violation.

It seems in this country now, if you question the authorities in any way, they are itching to taser you or subdue you to make sure you know who is in control; certainly not you.

These guys with tasers think, "hey, I'm not using bullets, so I have free range in pumping voltage into some poor bastard's body." Where are the repercussions in doing this? I'm just surprised that more citizens aren't protesting. Whatever happened to the days of using persuasive language to calm someone down? "The hell with talking, I'm gonna taser your A$$." Please.

it used to be a requirement for law enforcement that to carry a taser or pepper spray, you had to experience getting tasered or pepper sprayed.
Does anybody know if this is still true today?
