Dreaming in Africa is an expermential and cinema verite documentary that I have been working on since November 2006. After a sixteen year absence from my home, my country of Sierra Leone/Guinea, I returned in the winter of 2006 to move my refugee family from Conakry, Guinea to our home town Bo-town, Sierra Leone. This one-minute documentary is a short that just observes the adopted home of my family. The organic images and beautiful Azan (call for prayers) by Sheikh Ismet defines my Dreaming in Africa.
