Hi Ashley,
I am too.
I can browse music and it recognizes that I am a member. But when I click "download" it says that I need to go the apm website and change my settings. But I can´t log into that site.
Anyone else know of solutions?-

Ashley, you've got a great character with this young lady and I do agree that a bit of music could help out. I feel that you could also get a bit more B-roll. If you were to do this it would add more movement to your piece. You could add things like going to the financial aid office or filling out forms. Otherwise, great job!

Hey Ashley,
I think you've got a great topic on your hands and agree that the character is interesting, but I think you need to expand your scope in order to make the piece really involving. Try taking a big picture look at the situation, and think about interviewing parents of children in debt, admissions and financial aid officials, and perhaps even high school and college counselors. This should allow you to bring greater informative depth to the pod, and discover contrasting opinions on how college debt could be helped by actions of the part of colleges, the government, etc. -
This pod pretty much hits the nail on the head. We are all going to be spending years paying off our loans.
I think it is really good that you touched on the rates that private banks can charge students for their loans. You had a lot of good information about average debt load for students and also that students of color are impacted more severely. The conflict in this piece: the high price of education, and the impact of needing to mortgage your future for your present presents itself as something anyone can relate to.
It seems like you are still working on a new cut of the piece with music -- that should really help move the story along. One thing i would have liked to have seen is more footage of other students talking about their debts, and how their debts make them feel. If it makes them question the value of their education etc.
Also, I would have liked to have seen a little more about Jodie to have really identified with her. What does she study, where does she go to college etc? Also, some shots of students, walking, talking, basically doing anything (when you are talking about student debt in the beginning) would have helped bring life to the problem. I like that we see Jodie in a bookstore -- but I would have wanted to see her in more places so I could have gotten a feel for her life etc.
Overall -- good job.

What an important issue for young people. I was lucky to not have to finance most of my undergraduate education, but grad school is a different story.
Looking at how much money I owe gives me panic attacks. Literally.
This could be an amazing piece if you added in some more outside characters that help put it in a larger picture.
I really think the educational system in this county is in crisis -- you need multiple degrees, but who can afford them?
This conflict makes this a great pod to expand and explore in more detail.
