So your thinking about buying your child, or grandchild a gift for Christmas this year, but your not sure what to get them, do you get them a toy, or some books so they can learn to read, your torn, your not sure if you want to get them something fun or something they can learn from right? Well I got some great news for you, you can get them something that is a blast, but yet they learn from it. They have a ton of new learning toys on the market these days. After all we want our children to be the best don't we. The hottest trend this year is the educational toys and games. We have games that teach them how to read, and write, or toys to teach them a different language even. They have the new Dora the Explorer dolls that interact with your child to teach them how to talk Spanish. They have a whole new world of Leapfrog products as well as the new up and coming Vtech items.

Check out the Vsmile by Vtech, this is a wonderful gaming system geared for toddlers and younger children. You purchase the game system, which comes with one game(usually a choice) as well as a controller that has a joystick attached for easy use by a 3 year old. You can also purchase separately a keyboard or a writing pad. And they have many different games to choose from, ranging from ages 3 all the way up to age 8. These games start out easy for the younger children with letters and numbers as well as phonics and shape even. They also have several games for what they call junior thinkers, which are the middle ages of those I listed, some of these games include Vocabulary and spelling as well as math. Then we have the master minds going all the way up to 8 years which include geography, problem solving, math, some art as well as sentence structure. What kid wouldn't want one of these gaming systems.(I got one for my two year old this year and she loves it)

What about some of the older children who are begging to use the computer but are still too young. Well here is the answer. Vtech has several laptops to choose from. There is the Spanish/English Bilingual Notebook that teaches grade school skills. Or how about the Nitro Notebook which is packed with tons of learning tools and fun games. There are many choices for these Vtech laptops, check them out, your computer lover will love it.

Now that we've shared a few from Vtech, lets turn our head to the Leapfrog generation. These guys have really mad a name for themselves haven't they. Lets start out with this years top selling item, the new LeapFrog ClickStart My First Computer. Kids are going to love this thing, it'll turn your TV into a learning PC and teach your child basic computer skills as well as some of the basic essential skills for school. It has four different learning games that can be purchased and I guarantee your child will love it.

Now lets go back to the basics for Leapfrog, how about the infamous my first leappad, this product introduces your children to reading and develops vocabulary as well as spelling skills. You can start out with the my first leappad and keep on going, your child will never outgrow his/her leappad and there are plenty of books to keep them going. This product is even essential for a one year old. The best selling gift for the past nine years and will continue to sell out for years to come.

Now that I've mentioned a few of the newest, and oldest best sellers, you'll have to check it out for yourself. Stores generally have an isle set up with nothing but the best educational toys you could find. I suggest taking an hour out of your busy day to check all these items out, I guarantee you are going to find at least five that you want to purchase. I can vouch for some of these items as I have bought many of them for my daughter and yet there are still a ton I would love to get her. I can promise you your child will learn a lot from these and you will have fun watching them.
