Regina Spektor can't stop this band

The Rock River Gyspies, a William and Mary born band, recently got cancelled from one of their biggest gigs to date at The Norva in Virginia Beach. The reason - Regina Spektor. To some people, this was a good enough reason, but to the citizens of Williamsburg, VA, perhaps a wasted stage. The Gypsies won't be defeated, however, and have plans for Leesburg, VA next spring, and also are rumored to have a slot in Floyd Fest. Their music ranges from bluegrass to blues to folk to hippy love fest--expect big things Summer 2008.

    Huh? What happened with Regina? She wouldn't do it intentionally. . . .

    I love Regina. I say she's worth it. And maybe they got too many artists (a back up one) and had to let one go. Hmm...but if so, they wouldn't go advertising the back up band and it wouldn't be such a big deal if it was a common, casual thing. Who knows?
