So the new remixes of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' have leaked on the internet, and I'm throughly confused. Who in their right mind thought Fergie would sound good next to Michael Jackson in his prime? But I do have to say Will.I.Am's "The Girl Is Mine" remix isn't half bad-ish.

Ugggh...I just threw up a little in my mouth. This is an absolute travesty. I don't mind the idea of trying to update classics, but this just seems like its done poorly.
Fergie is completely over matched on "Beat It'. Not by Michael, but by the song itself.
I dug "The Girl is Mine" remix - that was pretty cool.
"Billie Jean" almost made me cry. They destroyed one of the best and most recognizable bass lines of the last 25 years...with seemingly no conscience.
Somehow, they managed to take the groove completely out of "PYT". It actually sounds like a bastardized remix of Prince's "Hot Thing" which is a GREAT song...but just doesn't work as a part of "PYT"
"Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" is a total abomination. Akon??? Akon??? Are you kidding me? Ugggh.
Why mess with an almost perfect album? A much better 25th Anniversary edition would have been remastering, outtakes, alternate takes, etc... that could give some insight into the full creative process of one the greatest albums of all-time. Somewhere, Quincy Jones must be rolling in his grave. Oh wait... -

I'm all up for remixing tracks and getting a bit of bricolage on the go, but Fergie and Akon should go find a quiet corner and think about what they've done!

I actually had high expectations. Thriller is so good, it seems like some new beats could have done it some good, but PYT is so bad it made me want to cry.
