Christams and Easter are Pagan Holidays!
Christmas and Easter were established by the Holy Roman Empire and the days of
celebration were chosen by the Roman leaders to coincide with established pagan
holidays and feasts, as well as being tied to the Winter Solstice and the Vernal
Equinox. Apparently when the sun reaches the Winter Solstice it stays just below the horizon for three days before it rises up again above the horizon.

I say let the common folk have their pagan holidays.

Jesus commands us in the Revelation of John (that is if you believe in commands from teh bible) to get out of the apostate church lest we be guilty of her sin. The church, both protestant and catholic have been practicing pagan holidays since their inception. Remember that the Romans made Christianity their official religion when they made Constantine both Emperor and Pope; when they formed the Holy Roman Empire. The Holy Roman Empire became the first Christian Theocracy.

Since then, whatever affiliation with Jesus they had was lost. They redefined Jesus to suit their purposes and burned and destroyed any writings that contradicted the official story; which is the official story of Jesus to this day practiced by 2.4 Billion Christians all over the world.

Christianity is not where you will find Jesus. Jesus is in our hearts and our minds, all we need to do is look inside ourselves to find him.

BTW The pendulum of teaching the bible in schools has already swung the other
way. In Texas bible classes are offered in many high schools. The bible is being
taught as literature.

This is a link to an interview with a Rabbi and a Christian Pastor with regard
to the organization called Christians United for Christ. These are the people
that are trying to accelerate the arrival of Armageddon by supporting Zionism
and the Israeli Political Lobby in the United States.

  • I think it is fun to celebrate Christmas as a pagan holiday. I have a tree in my home for Christmas. And at Easter we do the egg hunt in the yard.

I just recognize that true origins of these holidays.

What gets me is the people who believe these holidays relate to Jesus and the Christ myth. These holidays were coopted by the Roman Empire in order to make Christianity the official religion of the Empire.

The same thing is happening today. The current climate is to coopt our constitution for Christianity.

  • The basis of the pagan holiday take over is the principal of excession. your preists repace the conqured nations holy men to win the hearts and minds of the populace. As a Scot our own personal excession came between 50 AD and 200 AD depending upon location. (Blooody romans what have they ever done for us! - Monty Python)
