The Lakota Sioux Indians are not going to play by US rules anymore. They are declaring sovereignty and attempting to self-govern and fix their impoverished abused communities.

My heart is with the Lakota Sioux. I am part Blackfoot Indian and I keep feeling a tug to stand with them. When the time comes to take a stand for their independence will you stand with them, too?

Because when my wife & I were visiting the Lakota reservation & Wounded Knee we witnessed this impoverishment first hand & couldn't believe this existed within our nation. We felt disgraced that our government allows this to continue for these noble and honorable people. We hope much success for there effort

This is truly a historical moment and a step in the right direction. Globally we have much to learn from indigenous leaders who have always understood that earth is our "church" our sacred space where we can find spiritual sustenance and answers. Incidentally, it makes me wonder if the American government would at least apologize as they did in Australia for their decades of mistreatment of Aboriginal peopleā¦
