Using this guide to strip club etiquette will help ensure that your next visit to the local cabaret goes well and that you leave without insult or injury. A bad visit to the strip club can include being doused in your $9 drink, a sore bottom (which the bouncer tossed you out on), and hurt feelings all around; a good visit means you had fun, met some new people, and look forward to going back.

  • It's sad to me that there are people out there who look down on strippers or treat them poorly. It seems weak and cruel to beleaguer someone who is in such a vulnerable position as it is. Though it's pretty well-established that strippers can make decent bank in one night's work, that doesn't cancel out the need for men and women to treat exotic dancers with dignity and respect, as they would any person providing a service, be they bank tellers, waiters or cashiers.

  • Good points on strip club etiquette. I have made the terrible mistake of wearing jeans to the club and it has rubbed me the wrong way. I tell them to slow down when I got jeans on. Strippers also do things that hurt. One is slamming the hard parts of their body on you. Rubbing the back side of their head on in your lap. I never look down on any strippers but there are some that live your fantasy and some that are just dancing and trying to get it over with. As guys we over look it but when we look back we think what fools we were. When I am in the club I forget I am in the club. Even though there are a bunch of naked women there, I usually on focus on the one that I like. Women are always wondered about guys cheating but all women are not going to treat a guy the same way. Strip clubs are costly but it is a learning environment.
