  • Man, I wonder if that's what really happened or if that is just the story they came up with? Did the boyfriend try to rape the girl or did he just lose his temper and beat her up? Hard to say. Something about this story makes me think there was something else that happened and then they came up with this story so it would look more like an "accident" as opposed to manslaughter or murder.

  • I know... I thought there must be more to the story than that, too.

Couple of sickos, though. And there was a witness who goes with their story - but he says he was too drunk to do anything about it.

    Ugh... I hate those kids.

  • Well, if I were a witness who stood by while my friend tried to rape the girl or just got mad and beat her to death it would be in my best interest to go along with the "accidental death" story. Otherwise the judge would be sending me to jail too. But if I could claim that it was all in good fun and no one seemed to be in any danger, well, then I would be off the hook for not doing anything prevent the attack. I just don't by the whole "we were imitating a video game" arguement. If they were 5 years old? Maybe. But these guys are waaaay too old. And we're supposed to believe that the girl they were beating didn't protest after she got the first massive injury? The second? The third? The most likely explination (to me, anyway) would be the boyfriend attacked the girl for whatever reason and the whole "video game defense" is just an attempt to not be charged with murder. I can almost see them freaking out and trying to come up with cover stories before the cops got there.

  • Yep, you're right. The little girl did protest - did you read the whole thing? She begged them to stop, according to that same a-hole witness who didn't do anything. I think you're right about them trying to get out of it - I just hope someone comes clean by the time the actual trial comes around. Hey... by the way... thanks for your comments! :)

  • This is just horrible, why would you even play "Mortal Kombat" with a seven year old!? These kids knew what they were doing, and it sickens me. And of course they are going to say "Video games make kids do violent things" but thats not true, someone didn't make them do this they knew exactly what they were doing.
