A look back to the devastation caused by the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004. More than 225,000 people were killed in eleven countries when waves up to 30 meters tall devastated everything and everyone on the coast.

More than 40,000 people in India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands made homeless by the 26 December 2004 Asian tsunami are still living in temporary shelters.
They were promised they would only be homeless for a maximum of 18 months. -
Some amateur footage here. Even now, this is still incomprehensible. So very sad and heartbreaking.
