You guys have enough money (I assume) to call a flippin taxi. You could actually hurt people/kill people drinking and driving. That is why it's so wrong. Not because you go to jail, or public embarrassment, people die from drunk drivers.

This is embarressing. These celebrities should be role models for the growing public. Instead their going around doing stupid things that they know they shouldn't but KNOW thy'll get off because of their social status. Its bull shit. Shes not going to go to jail and shes probably not going to pay that big of a fine. Its a damn good thing she didn't hit anyone. Swiyyah is right. People die. I don't understand why these so called social-lights don't get that.

You don't have to be rich and famous to make a mistake... simply call a taxi and/or have a limo reserved to drive your ass home! Drunk driving is no bueno.

Get Real. though Driving Under The influence is a really idiotic decision for ANY PERSON to make. Celebrities shouldn't bare the responsibility to be a role model to anyone but their own children and families. If parents and people are counting on celebrities to be role models for their children then they need to think about how much of a role model they themselves are being. For the last 40-50 years celebrities have been acting this way, it's not a new thing. In all truth the higher percentage of celebrities wanted to become celebrities for this very reason. Artists of all art trades are and have always been a little unstable and have always mentally lived in a different world. We all know this. Some of this unstability has helped to create most of the best movies, records and visual art of our lifetimes. Personally I could care less what happens to/with any type of artist, actor wise, musician wise etc. in their personal life. I don't care what Mel Gibson says next week as long as they continue to produce good art and entertainment. That is the ONLY responsibility of their job. If you personally are for some crazy odd reason really concerned with how celebrities live their lives. Than don't pay, go see, or support the ones you dissapprove of, it's that simple. Get over yourselves.

priest...
i feel what you're coming from...
but the fact of the matter is...
CELEBS DO HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY to be role models!
they are in the public eye!
and have massive amounts of exposure to massive amounst of people and in our culture
celebrity is worshipped as a god of sorts.
It's sick, yes, but true.-

spencer (?)
is right. Celebrities are todays gods. Sad and pathedic but true. Unfortuanatly by the looks of it, thats not going to change anytime soon. I wish I could saw that the enterainment industry will recognize that but I'm not seeing it happen.
Priest
is right too. We as the public shouldn't care about what they do on their free time, but we do. And with tremendous magizine sales and TV ratings, its going to stay that way. Which brings us back to what I said, celbs have become our role models or as spencer said:gods. -
Drunk driving is such a major problem in New Mexico. We're working on a documentary now that explores these issues. Please check it out. We'd love some feedback.
