Thanks Yahya - It is great to hear what the student population thinks about ongoings here. Please pass the word around to your friends and colleagues - The more of us that can speak up, the larger an impact we will be able to make in having our voices heard.

Enjoyed your webcam, yahya_c. I wonder if anyone out there feels that the Pakistani elections *should* go on?
-
Your welcome Rabia, thank you for inviting me to do this webcam :)
Chloe- yes, there are a lot of people who think that the elections should continue and that this tragedy should not stop us from our march towards democracy. But I think that given the current security situation in the country, it wouldn't be wise to continue with election campaigning and put more people's lives at stake. Like Cosmo said, its important that the people behind this brutality be brought to trial and that all the reactionary violence that has resulted as an aftermath to this, be allowed to settle down.
I am an avid supporter of democracy but I believe that security and peace always come first, there is no use for democracy in which political rivalries result in such rampant public violence. -
Rabia and Yahya-- your perspectives are enlightening. Thanks!
