I wonder if the Pakistani Government will re-issue a statement, seems like there may be more to this than meets the eye. Although, when it comes to sensitive matters, there's always more than meets the eye.
Gotta love those gatekeepers... feeding our news addictions drip by drip. -
Videos of her death has caused some drama about how she died. Check out this article.

Whether it's the ISI fulfilling Musharraf's will or Musharraf's order directly, or even if this assassination was carried out by Al Quaeda as everyone wants us to believe there is no doubt that the US and all of the above are complicit in this death whose import matches the murder of Martin Luther King Jr. or Abraham Lincoln in the US in political implication. Bhutto has been requesting bodyguards and police protection for months and has gotten NONE. If the US had a real interest in democracy in the region there would have been a legion of Blackwater/Titan/CIA guards surrounding this leader. Instead she was left hung out to dry. The blood is on Musharraf, and the CIA chief of station's hands.

I think it's disgusting that people in our nation are more concerned about their New Year's plans than the assassination of such an important political figure. It's also horrible that she was quite obviously shot but the government refuses to recognize it for reasons uknown to me. Are they afraid of Al Quaeda, or is it simply the bad publicity that is driving them to claim that she hit her head on the sunroof? It's ridiculous. This should be the most important thing on everyone's minds. Where are the riots and protests and devastated masses? I fail to see how this is somehow less important than the death of JFK - considering the times, the issues, the way she pushed the boundaries and for the rights of Muslim women everywhere.
Like I said.
Disgusting.-

@ariasakamoto:
Considering that Bhutto was killed in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, where the military is headquartered, and that she posed the greatest threat to its intelligence services, which initially developed and continue to sponsor Islamic extremists, it's most likely that the Pakistani military and intelligence services were behind it.
The blatant cover-up is to distract from the damning fact that not only was she killed at their own headquarters, but that police officers refused to do their job (including reports guards left their positions right before the attack) and the government denied Bhutto's request for bullet proof vests and a UK/US security detail.
Check out the link; the commentary breaks it down.-

Why is it OUR responsibility to protect her. I hate that there is a double standard. People say we should help in world affairs when there is some sort of injustice. But then, after a while, everyone hates our government leaders to meddling in other country's affairs. e.g. Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia, Afganastan, Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Pakistan, and the list continues...

The camera doesn't lie. Even without audio you can see her get shot, the everyone's reaction to thew sound by ducking. Apparently, sunroofs are now made out of lead.

Hmm..assassination? Government cover-up? sounds familiar.. Hopefully in 2008 people will wake up and realize that they can?t rely on mass media to supply the truth. The media is run by corporations who have major pull with the government. One look at FOX NEWS will prove that. Pick up a book, read something instead of relying on the "idiot box" with the pretty flashing lights to give you your daily dose of "truth". Google Operation Northwood and see if you heard any report from ANY media outlet on 9/11 about this secret US program. I?m not saying it was an inside job. But open your eyes and stop believing everything you hear. We are all just puppets for the rich; the truth is at your fingertips.

Would anyone be surprised if the US had something to do with Ms. Bhutto's death? Perhaps the Bush administration wasn't interested in trying to develop a new relationship with someone other than their "point man" Musharraf. Just a thought. It is not like the US gov't hasn't killed other politicians around the world to influence the future of or maintain the conditions in various countries.
-
I never believed what their government said about her cause of death. From what I saw the first time they showed it, she was shot. So when I heard that whole "oops she hit her head" story I'm like BS! They knew no one was going to buyt hat story. Too many people were there that saw it and the doctor also said it. So forget whatever the government said.
-
now the pakistani government is also stating it might not have been the sunroof that killed her and 'terrorists' might be involved. they're gonna start an investigation to find these 'terrorists'... and probably 'smoke em out' ;)
-
Right on cue, as predicted...the Pakistan government is backtracking, saying maybe it wasn't the evil sunroof that jumped out and killed Bhutto, and that perhaps it was gunshots as initially indicated. Not sure we'll ever know the truth on this one.
-
I don't think we're ever going to know the truth, considering that no one can autopsy her and the government is loathe to admit what's really going on.
Also, yes, the US does have a habit to have undesirable leaders disposed of (ie, the Congo, etc.) but it seems like that would be a really complicated situation and there are few motives for that kind of job.-
