It's already going on, the question is to make the best of it.

"We're already there so let's make the best of it?" Sounds a bit too much like Texas gubernatorial candidate Clayton Williams' comment that as long as you're getting raped, you might as well enjoy it. From a practical standpoint, yes, we now need to do the best we can to minimize the damage we've caused, but the mire is so deep here I don't know what we can do that won't be a mess. I want to know why nobody seems to be able to say that we were deceived into a pointless war against a country that was no danger to us, and that we hold our current leaders responsible for this action. Not re-elect them while ignoring the lies and "try to make the best of it". I just don't understand.
