During Belfast Pride a marcher held a sign saying, "Jesus is a Fag!" P A MacLochlainn, a provocative Irish Gay Rights leader, argued on BBC radio, "I believe that a 33-year-old unmarried rabbi living in Israel, in the time that he was living and having a favorite friend among the apostles called John, was quite clearly a gay man." Conservative Christians urged the House of Commons to restrict grants to future gay pride parades based on the contents of the sign. MacLochlainn disagrees, "Someone participating in the parade was holding the placard. I defend the right of that person to carry it.

"To not allow someone to carry such a placard would restrict freedom of speech and religious freedom. The DUP shouldn't be so ready to shout blasphemy."

    People get very worked up about stuff that really doesn't impact their lives at all. Yet many are willing to protest or even kill for these convictions. Both sides are guilty.... let's all just chill this year :)..

  • I wonder if there was solid proof that Jesus was gay if people would reject him? Do you think they could turn their backs on his teachings because of something like that?

    "What would Jesus do?" "Oh I don't know...mmmaybe John!". I hear he was a looker. Anyway, I think that christians would freak if there was a way to prove this, cuz that would mean that they have been striving to be a FAGET for 2000 years. Good news for my queer bros but so much for the stright whoes.

  • All I can say is that the last poster (a troll who is so spelling-challenged he has to be considered unbelievable) needs a few more years in school and not so many cut classes before he graduates. Elekricity (without a "t"), if you had been to just one of those Fundy parades and seen a few of those "God Hates Fags" signs, you could have probably figured out how to spell it.

    I think that most of these Gay marriage activists who say that Jesus was gay are obviously being satirical. People will concretely interpret the bible to make hate speech against homosexuals, so activists just turned the tables and they are completely outraged
