Michael Moore interviews everyone but Hillary. She didn't want to talk to him.

  • Thanks MM, this is a great, common sense view and I agree with every word in Michael Moore's letter. There's no wonder why his voice, Kucinich and Ron Paul get such bad press. An open mind is a terrible thing?

  • This exactly what I've been trying to say. He said it better than I could. I have so much hope that we get Edwards. I have a great deal of faith in him and his plans to repair the Bush damage.
  • Edwards "gets it". He alone is willing to say and possibly do what it takes to stop Corporate Fascism. While Ron Paul may be more apt to reign in the power and size of big government it would simply be impossible for him to do these things overnight.

Edwards' knowledge of the law coupled with a fleet of appointed constitutional lawyers could at least put a temporary halt to much of what is wrong with America and then, with the help of a new Congress, he could go about rebuilding the country in a way that insured the people would be forever represented.

In law, the corporation has been given many of the same rights as an individual. The sooner we realize that the goals of corporations, more often than not, conflict with the values that make this country free, the better off we'll be.

I think Edwards is FINALLY realizing that. I have given once to his campaign. I may give again.

On the Republican side, everyone but Ron Paul is downright scary and the slam on Paul is that he is such a contrarian that he will only create gridlock.

What scares me about gridlock is that it doesn't get anything FIXED and with the present direction of the country, we are in sore need of something that will reverse the path we have been following and we need it to happen YESTERDAY!

  • i think the reality is that clinton, obama, or the republicans will get it, unless we as america vote. i dont believe that if every person in america had exactly one vote in 2001 or 2004 and used it, busch would have ever been president.

  • Well, I think John Edwards will win in Iowa even though Kucinich is trying to throw his votes to Obama. I guess he is more afraid of Edwards than Obama. I liked Kucinich until he did this. This kind of crap is Ralph Naderish. I don't respect spoilers.
  • Ironically, Nader is supporting Edwards.

  • Chique, I know. I was referring to his spoiler run for president. I'm a bit irritated at that kind of stuff. They know they can't win, but they do have power to screw with the vote.
  • I know, and you're right, but the odd thing is that Edwards seems much more in line with Kucinich than Obama. I was completely surprised by this

  • It is politics. That's wht it irritates me. Edwards is the one he would have named if it was picking the person that thinks like him.
  • Yep, it doesn't make any sense. I really liked Kucinich's positions til now. Maybe since he knows he can't win he's just doing it to be associated with someone he thinks will for credibility. God, I'd hate to think he would sell out like that. He just lost his brother though, maybe is just isn't thinking straight. (Hey, I'm grabbing at straws here).

  • Chique, Aren't we all. I'm so disapointed in Kucinich. It's time for him to fold his tent and go home.
  • Sady true MM. All we can do at this point is direct our willpower, karma or whatever and hope Iowa is thinking Edwards. Is it true that if he doesn't win in Iowa he doesn't have the funds to continue? One of the news stations commentators said that and I don't know whether to believe it or not.

  • I heard the same thing. If he wins he will get enough money to continue. I'm getting very angry about dirty politics. No matter what Kucinich does he won't win. Why ruin your reputation?
  • He had a lot of loyal followers and they're probably wondering the same thing, IF they bothered to keep up with the other candidates platforms. I'd lose faith in your judgement if you weren't angry Marilynn. If we don't give in or give up we'll find a way.

  • With Kucinich throwing some percentage points to Obama, it surely seems that Edwards' showing without those Kucinich supporters was at least good enough to make him a top contender in the next few weeks.

If he does well in New Hampshire, he could command more donors who are less sure of Obama's ability to win the Presidency.

Didn't Edwards poll as being more apt to beat Bush at one point during the primaries in 2004 than Kerry?

  • New Hampshire is a whole different dynamic, we may see things go in a different direction.
