This is as 21st century as it gets. Hiring surrogate mothers? In 30 years time what on earth are we going to be debating?

im interested: are these surrogate mothers hired because the client could not herself have any children or is it because she is too lazy to have/carry/deliver the child?

Probably for many different reasons. My partner and I have discussed having a surrogate mother carry our child in the future. The reduced price is certainly appealing. Typically it costs about $100,000 in the United States by the time lawyers and doctors are paid. It is probably equally expensive in the UK.
