In a move of solidarity for the writers, all Screen Actors Guild members have agreed not to appear at the Golden Globes this year.
After canvassing nominees over the past several weeks, Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg said in a statement, ''there appears to be unanimous agreement that these actors will not cross'' the picket lines to present or accept an award.
The statement also urged members to appear on ?The Late Show with David Letterman? and ?Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,? the two late-night shows that have struck deals with the writers guild. As for the other shows: ?Actors who are asked to appear on the struck network talk shows will have to cross WGA picket lines, creating the same situation that has led to the consensus among actors to skip the Golden Globes,? Mr. Rosenberg wrote.

i hope the strikers get a good deal out of this. i mean damn, with all the money that goes around the film industry and now with internet they deserve their piece of the proverbial pie.

I think it's kind of great that SAG writers are flexing their muscles and actively demonstrating just how invaluable they are to the entertainment industry. However, one very unfortunate side effect to this strike is the wide range of hard-working people in the industry getting screwed out of work such as gaffers, best boys, sound engineers, editors, and the like, They don't make fat cat producer's salaries either, it seems unfair that they should have to suffer too.

Sweet, that's all I needed to know. I'm officially boycotting too and will burn the invitation I received to sit with Don Rickles and Jimmie Walker!

i really hope the writes get what they deserve soon. if it weren't for them, we'd just have crappy reality shows, and sports on tv....boring!

I think that is pretty shitty for the strike to not allow waivers to the two most popular awards shows!!! Thos awards shows are to give praise to the actors and producers and WRITERS that deserve them!!! This strike is just getting so petty... I mean come on seriously now... There comes a point in time when you need to give some before you get some...
