I'm happy these guys are coming back, but if the guild doesn't let them write their own material, that would seem unfair seeing as their shows don't rely as heavily on celeb interviews as the late night talk shows like Letterman's do.

Does Jon Stewart own his show the way Letterman does?

I'm not sure if it's exactly the way Letterman owns his show, but i know that Jon Stewart has a production company which produces both the Daily Show and the Colbert Report.

nope, network does; but they should do pretty well without writers for a while, so many things that are easy to make fun of out there at the moment.

yeah, they shouldn't have a problem with it. maybe they'll have more interviews... i would love to see bill o'reily on the daily show again!
