My entry on this from another site. Perhaps if we see a Democrat in the WH in 08, NASA may finally run out of excuses and launch this visionary and groundbreaking invention by Al Gore?

JanforGore,
I really loved this comment from your article: "Although some scientists building Triana admitted to feeling ambiguous about it originally, they claimed that Mr. Gore's idea to observe Earth from deep space could prove to be revolutionary."
Thanks for letting us know about this truly revolutionary invention, and all the more exciting because it sprang from the mind of our fearless Current founder. -
You're welcome, jubal. And after originally posting this I got e-mails from some who had no idea Mr. Gore had put this forth. It just goes to show that the corporate media in this country when they want to discredit you instead of telling the truth has great power to do so and that is so wrong. Mr. Gore is a visionary brilliant man, and Triana is truly revolutionary and I wish it had gotten the chance to fly and hope it can someday. And not just because I love and respect the man, but because of the benefits it would provide for this planet and its people.

I had no idea Triana was a brain child of Al Gore, or in fact that it even existed. You're right Jan, and I wonder how many other things are out there that they don't want us to know about? Al Gore is an amazing man. Thanks for posting this.

Conniepae, speaking of things "they don't want us to know" have you ever seen the film "UFO, the greatest story never told"?
Check it out....It will blow your mind. -
Hey Janforgore, if you watch the film, I ask you, could it be that "they" don't want us to be able to see "them" come and go?
Did you ever see the movie with Roddy Piper called "They Live"?
That one is a scifi movie but nonetheless offers a very intriguing concept indeed. -
Jubal: Alien Autopsy is on pay-per-view and it's the story about how 2 young english men recreated this autopsy after buying the original film from a retired military photographer (on the old reels). One of them saw the original which was supposedly much like this but the film became corrupted so they decided to put this together. It's a pretty interesting documentary.

Thanks for posting this.
I remember first reading about Triana after the 2000 election/selection/whatever.
It was clear that just like the Global Disaster Information Network Triana was torpedoed for pure political reasons. Repulicans just couldn't stand thinking about Gore being associated with something as cool as this satellite.
I wonder what a Dem administration would do with this.
If it's Hillary I think she will continue to ignore it.
If it's Obama then it will fly.
Read this about Global Disaster Information Network:
Looking for the Next Tsunami
By LEON FUERTH
During the second Clinton administration, officials from the Central Intelligence Agency and other government departments approached me with a good idea: to establish a "fusion center" for information about natural disasters that would not only compile data but also stimulate research on forecasting. My boss, Vice President Al Gore, was interested, and after a great deal of informal interagency discussion, we began developing the Global Disaster Information Network. It called for a secure, Internet-based system to help disaster managers around the world plan for calamities and respond more effectively.
