  • I really like the low down on the Electoral process and what it means for candidates. While I understand the good intentions behind the Electoral vote there is always the chance a cadidate could be elected who was largely unpopular, but was able to swing those Electoral votes.

The following link is to a nice page that shows those dates and what happened.

  • It kills me when the GOP canidates mention troubled oil countries, and the dictators that lead them, and the name Chavez always comes up! Isn't that like calling George Bush or any democratically elected person holding office a dictator? I would think that our canidates are educated enough to know that Venezuela is democratic country. The only difference is that theirs is a socialistic nut holding office. I still think it's better than having a christian extremist in office. I think the GOP is out of gas this go round in elections for the following reasons. No one wants a man in office who doesn't believe in dinosaurs. No one wants a man who thinks that Jesus walked accross america. No one wants a straight shooter who wants to bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran. No one wants a 1 issue mayor who only knows 1 phrase " 911". And I can't change my tv with out finding a repeat of Law and Order on 5 different channels, no need to read about Thompson in the papers as well.

  • This is great! Very interesting stories and they are well combined. Watching it for 30mins seemed like 15 mins.

  • Maybe the question should be " why shouldn't we get screwed"? After all the American people voted in the man that racked up an enormous federal deficit and the politicians, excluding a few, and also elected by us, blessed his war effort that fanned the flames of the deficit. Social Security, health care, assistance to the poor, education, screw you America! Or vote in someone whose priorities are less fucked.

  • Hey! I didn't vote for Bush, I didn't support Bush, my state didn't vote for Bush, so don't blame me! I don't want to get screwed because the rest of my country is idiotic. Besides, the people who are getting "screwed" are the ones who were either just old enough or not able to vote last time around. If anything, the strong youth turnout so far certainly proves that.
Think I may have said this before, but great coverage. It's a lot different take on the primaries from what you normally see.

  • if 2/3 of americans are unhappy with the government, HOW THE HELL IS IT STILL GOING ON LIKE THIS!?!? i thought democracy was for the people, by the people. this country was built on social revolution, and i think it is so sad that our spirit of change seems to have morphed into fearful resolve to deal with what we allow to happen. change starts not with politics, but with individuals.

  • The United States goverment is run by the rich, for the rich. You will not find one person who holds office not worth under 1 million. So it would not benifit them to have an average person in office shaking things up
