Skinny Jeans - Foregone Fashion Trend or Timeless Staple?

OK, before I tell you why this is interesting, let me just say that I posted this to provide light-hearted respite from election news, Bhutto assassination theories and ongoing mass murder and violence in Kenya. So here goes!

Skinny jeans.

I have to admit, when they first came on the scene I was a trifle skeptical. Jeans that accentuate the hips and thighs? No chance in France will that silhouette last more than one season.

Of course, I now own about seven slim pairs and wear them all the time. Factor in the ever-treacherous exercise of trying to fit those ever fashionable, high-waisted wide-leg jems into bulky winter boots, and you have yourself a multi-season winner.

Skinny jeans. Have they moved beyond trend? Tell me what you think.

  • I think skinny jeans are great. Who needs all of that extra fabric. If anything I will claim them to be a more efficient way of clothing your legs. Plus they are hot. /randomreply
