Buying Fake Drugs Online

Britain's got an online pill habit. You'd think that the convenience of buying prescription drugs online loses its appeal when the drugs are fake. But according to this report, "more than 2 million people in Britain regularly buy prescription drugs such as Prozac and Viagra on the internet, in spite of the risk that they could be sold fakes." This is a huge risk that people are taking considering that up to half of all drugs seized prove to be fake. AND many of the websites people are buying drugs from are set up by people with no medical license or expertise.
This just goes to show how the internet can be misleading to so many people. While they likely wouldn't go have their health checked in a random shop with a sign in the window that says "doctor" because that's just dodgy, they're not able to distinguish the legitimacy of online medical services. Just because of some fancy web design, a lot of people probably assume that they are dealing with a qualified professional. Instead they're being deceived and their health is at risk. Scary stuff.
